At Cendekia: Jurnal Pengembangan Kurikulum dan Pendidikan, we uphold the highest standards of peer review while ensuring the process is fair, unbiased, and timely. Our peer review process is as follows:

  1. Submission Screening: Upon submission, all manuscripts undergo a preliminary screening to check for adherence to our submission guidelines, scope, and standards for academic rigor. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria are returned to authors for modification.
  2. Initial Editorial Review: Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are reviewed by the editorial team to assess their intellectual content. This review determines if the manuscript proceeds to the full peer review stage.
  3. Double-Blind Review: Manuscripts suitable for review are assigned to at least two independent experts in the field under a double-blind process, where both the reviewers and the authors are anonymized. This step ensures that the review process is fair and unbiased.
  4. Reviewer Reports: Reviewers are asked to evaluate the manuscript based on its originality, methodology, significance to the field, clarity of presentation, and adherence to academic standards. They recommend acceptance, revisions, or rejection based on these criteria.
  5. Revision: If revisions are required, the manuscript is returned to the authors with comments. Authors are expected to address these comments and resubmit the revised manuscript. This process may involve multiple rounds of review depending on the extent of required revisions.
  6. Final Decision: The final decision on the manuscript’s publication, made by the editorial board, is based on the reviewers’ reports and the quality of the revised manuscript.
  7. Publication: Once accepted, manuscripts go through final edits for clarity, grammar, and format before publication.

We aim to complete the peer review process within 3-4 months from the date of submission, although this can vary depending on the responsiveness of reviewers and authors.

This rigorous process ensures that the articles published in the journal contribute valuable knowledge to the field of education and curriculum development.
